At last, a real model builders delight - balsa, ply, plans are all included.
A classic kit of one of the great 1950's jets. Designed for 480 size ducted fan units with a shroud diameter of around 72mm (plans show Wemotec 480 or Wattage unit), this is a lightweight balsa build up kit including CNC-cut ribs and formers with lightweight moulded components for the fan ducts, intakes and scale detailing.
The model is fast with a cobalt motor and the prototype was flown using a 10-cell Sanyo 1700 (4/5SC) nicad pack and a 10-cell Kan 2000 (4/5SC) Nimh pack. Flying time using a wemotec cobalt with these packs was around 4-5 minutes. The wings are true scale outline and the tail plane has been increased in area by 10%. The model is intended to be bungee launched and is not suitable for hand-launching.
A military decal set is included with full-scale rolled plans. The kit has been designed for moderately experienced builders and pilots.
